Amir Zadnemat holds an MA in literature from the University of Guilan, Iran. His research grows out of a literary background that informs his approach to film as a textual and cultural artifact. In “The Lingua Franca of Fear,” he extends the theoretical questions that shaped his graduate work – how language, myth, and fear circulate across cultures – into a dialectical history of global horror cinema. His broader interests center on transnational film, cultural translation, and the literary genealogy of cinematic forms.
