Dr. Gayatri Devi is Associate Professor of English at Lock Haven University, Pennsylvania, United States, where she teaches world literatures and linguistics. Her publications on South Asian and Middle Eastern literatures and films have appeared in several peer-reviewed journals and books. Her co-edited book Humor in Middle Eastern Cinema was published in 2014 by Wayne State University Press. Most recently, she has co-edited a special issue on Transnationalism for the North Dakota Quarterly (Winter-Spring 2017). She is currently working on a contracted book with Rowman and Littlefield/ Lexington Books entitled Indigenous Films in North America in the Twenty-First Century:“Post-Indian” Storytelling (forthcoming 2021).
