Aneek Chaudhuri is an Indian filmmaker, author, and independent researcher whose work integrates cinema, philosophy, and interdisciplinary studies. His films explore themes like existentialism, psychological fragmentation, gender, AI, grief, and patriarchy, often within arthouse and slow cinema traditions. Notable works include The Zebras, a philosophical film on AI and human identity that had an Oscar contention in 2025; A White Horse’s Neigh, an abstract visual piece; and Cactus, a myth-inspired film archived by the Academy. His debut White premiered at Cannes and screened worldwide. As an author, he has published books on cinema theory and visual philosophy, with Red, Hypotenuse included in collections at Oxford, Cambridge, and other institutions. Affiliated with the Filmmakers Co-operative NYC and the Australian Screen Directors’ Society, Aneek continues to contribute to independent cinema and academic discourse globally.
