Amir Akiva Segal is a sociologist, poet, and postdoctoral fellow at Freie Universität Berlin. His research focuses on migration, the sociology of emotions, and the circulation of ideas. He has published four poetry collections, a novel, and a book on Israeli political poetry. He lives in Berlin with his family.
