Simon Lovat is a freelance academic writer in Film and Theatre. He holds a PhD in Film Studies from the University of Sussex and hails from Brighton, England. He has published across genres, including novels, short stories and several plays. Academic work has been published in the Journal of Writing and Critical Practice. Largely retired from acting, he is founder of Yama Theatre Productions, specialising in solo shows for performance in non-theatre venues. He is an ordained Buddhist and now has an unpronounceable name.
