Rosalind Hulse is a third-year PhD researcher at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her doctoral research is a cultural history of American Holocaust memory from 1967 to 2019, exploring Holocaust controversies centred around high schools. The thesis blends a cultural, pedological, and sociopolitical narrative around the emergence of Holocaust controversies. Her research interests primarily focus on popular and mass media, such as Hollywood cinema and journalism. She has a fascination with cinema of the 1950s and ’60s, focusing on sex, gender (specifically screen masculinity), sexuality, and neglected Hollywood figures. She also teaches and lectures undergraduate film studies, focusing on Hollywood cinema.
