John Bredin is a teacher, writer, and activist and is currently a professor of English at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. His writings have appeard in the literary magazines Inertia, Eclectica, Cerebration and Slow Trains, and in the Brooklyn Rail. As an activist, he serves on the executive board of NYC's original Reform Democratic Club, the Village Independent Democrats, and is the founder of a TV show called the Public Voice Salon, a public dialogue on culture, politics, and the important issues of our day.
