Whitney Strub is an associate professor of history at Rutgers-Newark, where he directs the Women’s & Gender Studies program. He is the author of Obscenity Rules: Roth v. United States and the Long Struggle over Sexual Expression (Kansas, 2013) and Perversion for Profit: The Politics of Pornography and the Rise of the New Right (Columbia, 2011), and he blogs about Newark on film at http://strublog.wordpress.com/.
