Samuel Good attended Oberlin College in Ohio, where he graduated with a major in East Asian Studies. He then spent two years in Tokyo completing a research fellowship in pre-war Japanese film. He currently attends Yale University, where he is pursuing a PhD in Film Studies and East Asian Languages and Literatures. His interests in film include documentary filmmaking, early Japanese film, and the use of digital media in contemporary cinema.
