Ren Hsieh has a BFA in film production from New York University and is working on an experimental short on the subject of anti-Chinese propaganda in the 1900s. He works with children in a media program in New York's Chinatown. He plans to spend the summer of 2003 in Zanzibar working with experimental filmmaker Jon Yevi.
