Peter Marra earned his PhD in English with a concentration in Film & Media Studies from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His dissertation, Queer Slashers, argues the queer lineage and queer function of the U.S. slasher film. His work has appeared in Film Criticism and in the edited collections Recovering 1940s Horror Cinema: Traces of a Lost Decade (Lexington Books, 2015) and ReFocus: The Films of William Castle (Edinburgh UP, 2018).
