Marina Massidda is an MA candidate in USC’s Department of Cinema & Media Studies specializing in Spanish quinqui cinema and the avant-garde. She earned her BA in Studio Art from Dartmouth College in 2017. In her current research, she applies her visual literacy to filmic analysis and to deepening her intellectual understanding of new media. While professionally devoted to theoretical writing on film and film-related literature, she maintains a dedicated painting practice in her garage.
