Kristina Garvin is a Visiting Assistant Professor in English at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. A former Mellon fellow at the McNeil Center of Early American Studies, she has written on early American corporate personhood and 9/11 film. She earned her PhD at Ohio State University and is completing a book manuscript about how authors conceptualized “institutional imagination” in the decades following the Revolutionary War.
