Dr. Kevin M. Anzzolin, Lecturer of Spanish, arrived at Christopher Newport University in 2021, where he teaches a wide range of classes. His book Guardians of Discourse: Literature and Journalism in Porfirian Mexico (1887-1912), analyzing the representation of journalism in literary texts from Porfiriato Mexico, is currently under contract with the University of Nebraska Press. His research focuses primarily on Mexican narrative from the 19th to the 21st centuries, and his work has been published in journals such as Letras Hispanas, Hispania, and Studies in Latin American Popular Culture.
