Jonathan McCalmont is a former academic turned freelance critic working out of London. Continually exploring new forms and narratives, his work has been published at such venues as Strange Horizons, The Escapist and The New York Review of Science Fiction as well as Futurismic and Gestalt Mash, where he has regular columns dealing with video games and graphic novels. He also maintains a blog named Ruthless Culture where he habitually writes about film.
