Jeremy Helligar is a journalist from New York City, where he spent 15 years writing and editing for People, Teen People, Us Weekly, and Entertainment Weekly. In 2006, he left the U.S. and has since lived in Argentina, Australia, Thailand, and South Africa, an expat adventure he documented, in part, in his memoir/travelogue Is It True What They Say About Black Men? Tales of Love, Lust and Language Barriers on the Other Side of the World. He’s currently working on his second book while bumming around Europe and wondering if he’ll ever make it to Antarctica.
