Giuliano Vivaldi is a translator and independent film scholar specializing in Russian and Soviet cinema based in Russia, Italy, and the UK. He has studied at Russia's VGIK film school and is a member of the Russian Cinema Research Group. He has published articles for the online journal Film Philosophy and translated subtitles for Elem Klimov's Sport, Sport, Sport. He is working on a book on Boris Barnet as well as a translation of the Argentinian/Italian writer Juan Rodolfo Wilcock. He has a Russian film blog at http://giuvivrussianfilm.blogspot.com.
