Emanuele Lugli teaches History of Art at the University of York. Prior to that he worked for Vogue, wrote about films and costumes for the Guardian and studied architecture history. His favorite Disney movie is actually Alice in Wonderland, which was made at the same time (and in competition with) Cinderella, but is not quite as fashionable.
