Eileen Rositzka is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cinepoetics Center for Advanced Film Studies (Freie Universität Berlin). She holds a PhD in Film Studies from the University of St Andrews, where she wrote her dissertation on the “cinematic corpography“ of the Hollywood war film – an analysis of the genre’s specific modes of staging spatial perception. In the past, Eileen has been co-editor-in-chief of
Frames Cinema Journal and has also published on film genre and production design in several edited volumes. Having worked as a research associate and lecturer at Freie Universität Berlin (where she also did her MA and BA in Film Studies and Communication Studies), she is now working on a research project that aims at assembling and further developing approaches to cartography, media, and embodiment.
