Deborah Sutherland is an associate film instructor at St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY, and teaches film production, theory, and history for the International Baccalaureate. She is the daughter of Martin and Ursula Lewis, who created many of the first international film festivals at the Thalia Theater, the 55th Street Playhouse, and the 5th Avenue Playhouse in New York City.
