Cisemnaz Cil is a film critic and filmmaker based in Ankara, Turkey. She completed her degree in American Culture and Literature at Hacettepe University and is beginning a master's program in Film and Television. Her work focuses on feminist cinema, experimental film practices, and the politics of vision and representation in moving image culture. She regularly contributes film criticism to High on Films, Musee Magazine, and other platforms, and has published scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals including Ampersand: Boston University's American Studies Journal. Her films have screened at international festivals, including the Lift-Off Festival, where her directorial work received the International Cultural Journal Award.
