Anemic cinema, aide-mémoire, or engulfing grandeur? You be the judge!

Sure, you’d love to see avant-garde cinema on the web, at least you say you do, but how are you going to find it? No sweat, “dude”. Mia Fineman is on the case at Slate, giving you the links you need. Mia notes that much of what you see was originally designed for gallery installation, so you get little more than an aide-mémoire for the engulfing grandeur of the actual gallery experience, but, frankly, how much grandeur does a pencil-neck computer jockey really want in his life? Grandpa Marcel’s Anemic Cinema (above) should do just fine.
